Beginning with a HVF Nanoplus graphite blank which is lighter & stronger thanks to the nanoplus resin, Spartan SJ then also receives the full X45X Full Shield treatment, reducing twisting under load thanks to increased torsional stiffness. Spartan SJ also features Daiwa’s patented 3DX carbon weave on the lower most section of the blank increasing lifting power.
Outfitted with Daiwa’s Air Sensor reel seats, Spartan SJ rods are incredibly lightweight and when paired with a reel such as a Lexa HD or Saltiga LD provides a compact yet powerful outfit capable of dishing out plenty of hurt.
Fuji stainless steel silicon carbide (SiC) guides manage lineflow effectively and the clever adjustable EVA pad in the split section means you can protect the rod when travelling in your boats rod holders.
Available in PE ratings 2, 3 & 4 in both spin and spiral wrapped overhead configurations.

- X45X Full Shield Technology – 25% more efficient than standard X45 technology. With increased torsional stiffness, blanks armed with X45X resist blank twist during casting & jigging.
- 3DX Construction supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibers in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form.
- Air Sensor Reel Seat – Daiwa’s carbon fibre reel seat that’s minimal in weight, yet high in strength and sensitivity. Our ultimate high end, high performance reel seat.
- HVF Nanoplus – Through the use of nano resin control technology in the blank construction process, Nanoplus allows for increased graphite density to be achieved within a graphite rod blank.
